What Are Personas?

Personas let you see how AI platforms answer the same question from different user perspectives. Instead of just asking “What’s the best CRM software?”, you can ask it as a small business owner, an enterprise manager, or a startup founder - and see how the recommendations change.

How Personas Work

Project-Level Assignment

Personas are created at the project level. When you add a persona to a project, it automatically applies to all prompts in that project.

Creating Personas

Persona Configuration

Configuration Options

When creating or editing a persona, you can configure:

All these fields are important - define them clearly to get the best results. The more specific and detailed your persona configuration, the more accurately AI will tailor its responses to that user type.

Add keywords that represent your persona’s interests and focus areas. These help Tedi intelligently incorporate the persona context into prompts. Example for Marketing Professional:

Click on a persona to open the Edit Persona modal

Type any prompt you want to test (e.g., “What are the benefits of using AI chatbots?”)

View how your Original Prompt transforms into the Refined Prompt that will be sent to AI

During the beta period, each project is limited to 5 active personas. This may increase based on your plan.
Yes. When you add a persona to a project, it applies to every prompt in that project. e.g: if you have 2 personas, each prompt will be sent twice - once with each persona context.
Yes! Check the “Executed Prompt” field in chat details to see exactly what was sent.
If your customers are very homogeneous, or if you’re just starting out, you might not need personas. Get your basic prompts working first.
